Well, seems as if it might become a habit to write as a wrap up to the day. This morning was pretty wild. Started off by having to face "theft" in the camp with the case of the missing laptop. (still missing :( Bummer!) Then, we looked at what it means to pray God's Kigdom on earth as it is in heaven. Prayers like that are super tough if we take them seriously because it means an end to our selfishness and the like. It is so easy to get comfortable in our own kingdoms and forget about walking in His.
Then, we ended our day with an awesome Brooks birthday tradition of the Bonfire! New experience: smokin' cardboard. Probably had to be thewre to even understand. But, it was a great time. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. Cool to have my daughters by my side for it. They are growing up so much. Had a great time but had to leave before Mafia started. Got an early morning planned. We are even going to the Museum of Natural History.

the kingdom of God
Wow! I almost forgot to write and it's only me third day. Just finished a late night of sermon prep after a crazy weekend. Prett excited about tomorrow morning and "your kningdom come, Your will be done." It is an incredible prayer! To imagine, the things that happened around Jesus happening on a regular basis would be anything but regular, but it would be awesome. For some reason, I was struck with the idea of how people felt complete, loved, and extremely cared for when they were with him. I know that this thought is huge in is kingdom. After all, he made it a pint to hug lepers before healing them. God who cares! There you have it. Good Night!

Cleaning Day
JuUst a quick note to say how glad I will be to have the church remodeled, but I will also be glad when it is DONE! There are some good things about being a grunt though. Nobody seeks out the guy cleaning the drywall mud off of the floor to talk about deep serious things. We just talk about the "glory days" of high school football, rock bands, the Olympics and such. Well, back to work. God is good and will always remain so!
